Ramona Sterling
(1958 - 2022)

Ramona was part of the dog community for over 30 years.  She founded Mrang Kennels and was heavily involved in agility, flyball, obedience and conformation; winning numerous titles and awards.  Ramona was one of the founders of the Alberta Junior Kennel Club (AJKC), was involved in Superdogs, Cruisin' Canines, Poodle Club of Canada and was the secretary of the Poodle Club of Alberta from day one of her membership right up and until her passing.  Together with Murray Eason of Belcourt Poodles, Ramona co-bred BIS MRBIS GChG Mrang Belcourt Journey To Midori (Stevie), who was #1 Miniature Poodle in Canada for 2021, 2022 & 2023.  Her true passion was performance with her poodles and she was a driving force behind the Poodle Club of Alberta becoming sanctioned to host performance events.  She often mentored and volunteered her time to aspiring performance teams, through her kindness, teacher's spirit and vast wealth of knowledge.

Cindy Harvey
(1962 - 2024)

Cindy was a dedicated member of PCA, who gave much of her time in support of the breed she loved. Under her kennel name, Dilquin Standard Poodles, she strived to breed dogs for temperament, health, and type. Her passion for poodles extended beyond breeding; she was deeply involved in both conformation and performance.  A cherished mentor and friend, Cindy's impact on the poodle community was profound. She was always eager to share her extensive knowledge, providing guidance and support to newcomers and veterans alike. Her sharp wit, strong opinions, and love for spirited debates made her a memorable and respected figure in the community. Her legacy of mentorship, friendship, and passion for our breed will continue to inspire us all. Her spirit will forever be part of the Poodle Club of Alberta, and her contributions to the poodle breed will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
